Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention

This weekend’s cold weather couldn’t keep tattoo artists and enthusiasts away from the 17th annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention.  And, while the festivities may have wrapped up, the buzz still lingers!  With over 800 award-winning artists,  multiple TV personalities, great events and more, this year’s convention was the best yet.  It’s unanimous that everyone is already excited for next year!

Reporter Kelly Roncace of the South Jersey Times sat for, and wrote about, her first tattoo, a dog paw on the top of her left foot done by Pennsville artist Douglas Sparks.

Thankfully, a fire-breathing performance artist from Ink Illusions was OK after catching on fire during a show Sunday.  It happened so quickly that many in the audience thought the mishap was part of the show, and the artist and event organizers extinguished the flames so quickly that the fire department didn’t need to respond.

Art Machine Productions, #2 in our recent Top 10 Highest Rated Tattoo Shops in Philadelphia, had a few great shots from the show.  Nick “the Tailor” is shown at work below!
